On October 29,1960 Cassius Clay made his pro debut against Tunney Hunsaker in a Heavyweight bout in Louisville, Kentucky, Clay’s hometown. Cassius Clay would win the 6 round bout by unanimous decision. Presented here is the extremely rare official program from the bout. This one sheet paper program measures 7 inches by 9 ½ inches. The program has minor foxing from age in the upper right and lower left corner areas. The program lists all of the bouts for the night with scoring blocks. No writing on the program. This program is from the collection of Joe Martin. The program comes with a notorized LOA from Jole Martin who is the grand-daughter of Joe Martin. Joe Martin is the Louisville police officer credited with getting a 12 year old Clay started in boxing. This highly sought after program only surfaced recently and but a few are known to exist. To our knowledge this is the first to come to public auction. Extremely rare piece and a must for an Ali collector.
