Original pen & inks are extremely unusual and rare as they are in full color. Hand colored by the artist "Booth," who is the in the same league and style of his U.S. contemporary, Tad. The finest Cuban sports cartoonist ever, these drawings prove that point. Splendid images average 6x8": N.Y. Giants & Boston Braves fighting for the top Cubans of the day (Marsans, Padron, etc.), two 1913 World Series with Giant boxing elephant and fighting to get to the cash, 1913 Cincinnati Reds manager Joe Tinker is stunned by the .422 batting average of Almeida the player he did not want, rise of the Havana team's batting average (.326), Negro stereotype, John McGraw setting firecrackers at the feet of the Miracle Braves with his pitching staff of Matty & Marquard in the 1914 World Series and more. Total of ten signed pieces, overall EX. Three come with clippings from the major Cuban newspaper of the day showing their use.
