In recent years, the Dallas Mavericks have become one of the top teams in professional basketball. Listed by Forbes magazine as the seventh-most valuable team in the NBA, the Mavericks have been a consistently high-performing team since their 1996-97 reorganization. Things weren't always so sunny in Texas, however. In the late eighties and early nineties, the Mavericks experienced a dark age, during which their team dropped off drastically and languished in futility for some years. This set of hundreds of negatives and slides document this period, from their strong mid-1980s team to their fall from grace, and onto the beginnings of their comeback. The lot serves as a great testament to how far a team can fall, and how -- with the right management -- they can pick themselves right back up again.
