Third baseman and team captain Sal Bando played for the Kansas City and Oakland Athletics from 1966 to 1976. He led the Oakland A's to their first of five consecutive American League Championship series in 1971, the season he wore this flannel old-style jersey vest. Although the Athletics’ logo on the front and Bando's lettered NOB have been restored, his green and gold numbers are original on both the front and back. McAuliffe size 46 tag and "71" year tag on left front tail. All trim and buttons intact. A nice Bando item from the prelude year to the A's three World Series Championship seasons of 1972-74.
