Mamoru Shigemitsu along with General Yoshijiro Umezau signs the instrument of surrender on September 2, 1945. This effectively marks the end of the bloodiest war in history. Original UPI press photo with original paper caption on verso. Couple of publishing additions, overall EX. 7x9”.
