Pete Rose's hit record dwarfs that of any other player in MLB history. This Official National League (Feeney) baseball is from one of the most important baseball games of the 20th Century. This baseball is one of a number of balls that were used during the game that set Pete Rose's record, broke Ty Cobb's previous record, and helped usher in a new record that will likely never be broken. The ball, obtained by umpire Bob Engel, shows fantastic use, and was signed on its sweet spot by Pete and dated 9-11-85. The signature, in blue sharpie, grades an 8/10. This item comes with an LOA, with a handwritten note by Engel on back discussing the ball.
