Huge 48'’ tall trophy was awarded each of the two years the team existed in the World Hockey Association. Engraved on the trophy is "Dennis & Elaine Murphy Most Valuable Player Award, Los Angeles Sharks". On the plaque at the bottom of the trophy, "1972-73 Gary Venneruzzo" and "1973-74 Jean-Paul LeBlanc" are engraved. This trophy was displayed by the team in their facilities and when the team moved to Detroit, this trophy was kept by owner, Dennis Murphy and later sold by him. Murphy and his wife have both signed the trophy. EX condition but for some cracks on the piece of metal at the bottom of the hockey figure that sits on top of the trophy. Comes with a photo of Dennis Murphy standing beside this trophy.
