Notes: Simply beautiful collection of (140+) track and field related medals, with most dating from the early part of the last century. The quality is truly amazing with many coming from the foundries of the noted Dieges and Clust or Bastian Bros. Often they are engraved with the name of the winner and dated. Many are college related such as University of Pennsylvania, Iowa, Maine, George Washington University, AAU, Richmond College, Brown, Bucknell, Manhattan, West Point, Bowdoin, Maryland, John Hopkins, Georgetown, Missouri, and more. At least 20 of them are stamped “Gold Filled.” A collection that would be a challenge to put together in today’s market.
