14 rare vintage newsphotos of the Rose Bowl from 1942 which was played in Durham, North Carolina rather than in the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. There was significant fear of a Japanese air raid right after Pearl Harbor attack. There are even team photos from both of the squads, Duke University and Oregon State.
