The last and largest of the first wave of steel and concrete ballparks built in the 1909-1915 era, Braves Field was home to the Boston Braves from 1915-1952. The careers of HOFers Eddie Mathews and Warren Spahn started there. The career of Babe Ruth ended there. This large blue heavy cotton pennant flag measures over seven feet long with "Braves" stitched on it in white linen letters. It is the very last flag that ever flew over the storied ballpark, on September 21, 1952 and for quite a time up to that date. Two-piece flag that has been stitched together, two grommets on the white end strip for mounting. Flag has some brown spots visible in a few areas. There is some wear but no rips or tears. Overall EX.
