Along with Bill Klem the first umpire elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame. This baseball treasure is the actual pin he was given for his induction into Cooperstown in 1953. The 14K and 18K Balfour pin is engraved “Tommy Connolly” on the verso of the solid metal piece under a rotating clamp. The front has a silver baseball in an empty area within the borders of a pavilion-like motif with 2 side columns, an upper wall with the words “Hall of Fame”, and a lower area with laurel leaves and a baseball diamond. Best of all, this precious pin is NRMT with nary a scratch or speck. Comes from the Tommy Connolly Estate and comes with Lelands.com LOA detailing this fact. With the framed HOF plaque this was the only thing given to the inductees to honor their induction back in the day.
