July 20, 1970 was quite the day for the lanky right-handed LA Dodger pitcher, Bill Singer. On that day he managed to accomplish every pitcher’s dream, a major league game no-hitter. The Dodgers defeated the Phillies 5-0 that day and Singer will always be remembered for this incredible feat. The vintage wire photograph is in VG/EX condition with some wrinkling and creasing on both the upper and lower right hand corners. The image is slightly grainy but the tonal quality of the photograph is EX. This image chronicles a great moment in baseball since there have only been 255 no hit games in all of Major League Baseball history.
