Mrs. Charles Payson (Joan) was an avid racehorse enthusiast as well as owner of the NY Mets from 1968-1975, the year of her death. She was much loved by the players and fans. These SF Examiner images (12) are mostly from the 1960's and 70's; however there are (2) from the 1930's including a family photo that is dated 1935 and pictures Mrs. Payson with her husband Charles and three children; Danny, Payne and Cornelia.
