This collection of Santa Clara football photos (50+) from the late 1940's and early 1950's comes to you from the archives of the SF Examiner. Those were some of the better years of football at the small California Jesuit institution which won three Sugar and Orange Bowl victories in their history. The photos include lots of game action. Some of the photos include player tags to easily identify players on the field. Photos range in size from 5" x 7" to 8 1/2" x 13" and in condition from VG-EX. Many have newspaper edit markings and enhancements and most have captions. Includes battles vs/ arch rival St. Marys as well as USF, UCLA, Stanford, Idaho, Tulane, Loyola, Michigan State and Kansas.
