This lot contains 36 high quality 8”x10” photographs of WWII African American soldiers. 9 of the photos are of the same unidentified young male soldier whose image exemplifies that of the young soldier headed off to war. The quality of the photographs are excellent with minimal wrinkling and good color quality. Included in this collection rich in history are several images signed by those captured in them, including Pentagon employee Harriet M. West.
