An amazing collection of 55 photographs of World Heavyweight Boxing Champion, Ernie Terrell. The images capture fight action, some with vibrant clarity, of his title bout with Eddie Machen in 1965 as well as many others. Also includes publicity shots featuring Ernie with such boxing royalty as Joe Louis and several shots of the boxer after his 15 round defeat by the new WBA champ Cassius Clay in 1967. The collection, primarily 8x10 images, is in excellent shape, with very minor creasing and few editorial markings. Many of the wire photos include the original new clippings adhered to the verso.
