The Yanks swept the Cubs in four games during this series filled with "bench jockeying" bad blood . This series is noted in history for Babe Ruth's "called shot" which occured in the top of the fifth inning in game three at Wrigley Field. This legendary Ruth home run was estimated to have been hit nearly 500 feet.
