Leonard "Stub" Allison was the University of California Bears coach from 1935-1944 and was one of their winningest coaches. This photo collection depicts coach Allison interacting with his players in various situations. One of the shots is of him shaking hands with arch rival Stanford head coach "Tiny" Thornhill in 1936. Photos range in size from 7" x 9" to 8 1/2" x 12 1/2". Conditions range from GD-EX and many have edit marks. Allison guided the '37 and '38 Bears to back to back 10 win seasons- the only Cal coach to ever do so.
