The King of the MAD Magazine collectibles. Early merchandising item was sold only out of this groundbreaking satirical magazine during the late 1950's. Elaborate jacket was quite expensive at the time and very few were sold. Hence, only a handful still exists and they separate the men from the boys in terms of MAD collectors. The best condition specimen we have seen. Linen type material in white has aged nicely to a bone color. Tagged in the color with an imprinted red "S" with a size "S" small flag tag next to it. Great pockets in front to put your arms in gives this the effect of a "real" straightjacket. The verso is what makes this. Brilliant full color image of Alfred E. Newman's head is the actual size of his real head (yes, stupid, we met him). Above, "What Me Worry?" Below, "I'm wearing my MAD Straight Jacket." Below is a colorful "strapped in" design with an actual metal lock held cunningly in place. Colors are like-new. Condition is overall EX-MT.
