Riddell helmet was used by Ferguson circa 1983, but was used by someone else on the team prior to that year as is evidenced by the numbers written in black marker inside the helmet. Several re-certification stickers are also present inside the helmet. Number "12" stickers on back of helmet. Signed in black marker, "Joe Ferguson #12 Bills."
