Their third national tour since February, the Beatles gave 42 performances in 21 cities during a period of three weeks. The "RoyOrbison/Beatles Tour" was booked several months in advance, and by the time the tickets actually went on sale, the Beatles had scored two number one hits, "Please Please Me" and "From Me To You". Thus, the group, although originally honored to be billed second to Roy Orbison, an American artist whose style they greatly admired, were switched to headliner status after the tour's first week. The cover of this 16-page program reflects the switch as the Beatles are listed above Orbison. The program exhibits moderate border wear, a vertical crease down the middle, and some cover staining. This is the rarest of the four program variations! 8x10"
