On June 18, 1941 at the Polo Grounds in New York, World Heavyweight Champion Joe Louis and World Light Heavyweight Champion Billy Conn met with Louis' title at stake. Offered here are rare souvenir pennants of both fighters which were sold at the Polo Grounds to commemorate the event. These are illustrated pennants made of felt with the fighter images and names on them. Conn's is Irish green and Louis' is the traditional brown for the "Brown Bomber." Both are in fine condition with bold color and the original tails intact. The Louis pennant is 30" long and the Conn is 31" long.
