A solid collection of envelopes from Naismith, dating from 1910-1930's, to several members, namely his wife. Most are signed indirectly by addressing the letters to "Mrs. James Naismith." There are fourteen envelopes in total in varying degrees of condition; many have developed tatters and rips from age and handling. Most were delivered to his home in Lawrence, Kansas and there could be, with a bit of snipping, a total of sixteen signatures from the man, seven of which are from the return address, reading "J. Naismith". All the signatures could be cut and average a 6-7/10 in strength, except four that rate lower.
