The only example we know of, this spring training jacket is all original, with a drab olive exterior and sheepskin inner lining, as well as a detachable hood. This heavy jacket was perfect for the cold nights and days of pre-season practice, and is identifiable from the “Detroit Tigers” screened on back and second baseman Red Borom’s # 10 screened on the inside. The Tigers would go on to win the ’45 World Series, beating the Cubs in a WWII-era post-season that was not surprisingly less than stellar, with some obvious exceptions in the likes of Hank Greenberg and Hal Newhouser. Nice condition, with "Butwin Eskimo" and size 48 tags sewn inside.
