Third baseman Whitey Kurowski played with his St. Louis Cardinals (and in MLB) for only one decade - the 40’s - and was part of three World Series championship teams (’42, ’44, and ’46), was a five-years-straight All-Star, and willed a 22-game hitting streak in ’43. Uniform is from an Old Timers Day in the early 1970's, but the jersey was actually first worn by Dick Sisler in 1970, his name and number "5" on the back of this jersey which were later removed. "70" sewn in front tail along with Rawling 48, "Do Not Dry Clean," and "Set 1 #8P 1970" tags. Pants have same tagging as jersey in the waist band and also a strip tag with "Muffett 70 41/38 25." Whitey Kurowski's personal baseball scrapbook (52 pages) is filled with news clippings detailing his career. The front inside cover has been signed by him. Also included are a single signed baseball and signed photo. Both are NRMT.
