This dazzling belt is certainly worthy of a champion and that’s exactly who it was made for. In honor of Cassius Clay’s 1960 Olympic Championship, it was custom made by former Chief Inspector of the California Athletic Commission, Joe Olmos. Olmos is also known as an artist and sculptor. The plaque and side plates on this belt are solid bronze and have been plated in 18 Karat gold. The chains are also plated in 18 Karat gold and the leather is top grade. All hand engraving was done by Joe Ciancio who is at the top of his field. Olmos has been commissioined to create boxing belts since 1973 when he created the belt for George Foreman. This is one of a kind and was finished in 2003. Letter from Olmos attesting to its authenticity and composition. Framed in a shadow box and Mint condition.
