One of the most desirable of the Spalding figural baseball trophies, the catcher squats atop this award’s center baseball, in position and ready for the pitch. Rich in flavorful detail these Spalding trophies are known for their design. Condition is a very pleasing, EX, and comes with a postcard of the L.B. Harrison Hotel “for young men,” to which this trophy is awarded, as is noted upon the silver wreath plaque on the painted wood base, “Greater Cin’ti Amateur B.B. League Champions 1925 won by L.B. Harrison Hotel Club.” The metal portion of the trophy has been cleaned, and the whole piece has a nice patina. Metal tag on back of base has “made by Dieges and Clust.” Measures 18” high and 8” wide at its base.
