Stanley Brodey was a very popular and successful artist from the 1960's and 70's, he has won over 120 awards and is listed in Who's who in American art. The watercolors in this collection all have a viewable size of 5 1/4 by 3 1/2. Brodey loved to play with color, and it is very evident in his clowns, restaurants and homes. Brodey also loved to paint winter scenes and trees. A handful of the works also have a Jewish influence such as Moskowitz's Pizzaeria, and Anthony Cohen's Yiddish Ices. Included with these 42 works are a bio and articles about the artist. This lot has great break up value for a dealer, or these little watercolors would make great gifts.
