An unflappable player, Danny Murtaugh went on to a successful managerial career highlighted by the Pirates' upset of the Yankees in the seven game 1960 World Series. This 1950 white Pittsburgh Pirates home jersey from Murtaugh's playing days has "Pirates" stitched on the front and the player number "7" stitched on the back, both done in black on yellow felt. black and yellow piping is present on the collar and sleeves. Black "MacGregor Gold Smith" manufacturer's tag with size "44" in red is stitched into the collar, below which is stitched a white felt tag with "Murtaugh" and "7" embroidered in red, indicating the player name and number, respectively. Inside the front right tail is a small white flag tag that reads "Set 1, 1950." Front and back are restored, with some staining on front.
