Baseball card master Dick Perez created the Celebration series in 1989 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Baseball Hall of Fame. Heroic paintings of 44 then-living Hall of Famers on NRMT-MT postcards give a nod to W.S. Kimball style from a 1888 card series. Perez Steele gallery-issue was limited to 10,000 sets with no updates. Twenty autographed cards in this one (Mantle, Snider, Slaughter, Catfish, Lemon etc.) add that touch of greatness. Signatures rate NRMT or better and are accomplished in blue and black Sharpie marker. Cards and green-bound checklist booklet are carefully preserved in a green vinyl box with felt molding inside a green casing to make your collection safe and snug. Top cover of box has separated.
