Meet auto racing royalty, A.J. Foyt. Offered here is the king’s robe, his circa 1986 one-piece driving uniform. Though way past his prime, Foyt was still as in the action as you can get as one of the greats who won Le Mans, the Indy 500, and the 12 Hours of Sebring. Silver, embroidered “Valvoline” peaks across the chest (and on verso), and an embroidered “A.J.” sits above his zippered breast pocket. Valvoline patches are on the arms, while Goodyear straps stretch along upper shoulders, and a “Simpson Safety Equipment” patch is secured on left arm. Four Simpson safety tags are inside collar, along with dated “3/86” tag. A red, white and blue winner that shows light use.
