Many argue the most memorable and dominant era in Nolan's career took place during his third big-league incarnation, with his hometown Astros from 1980-88. During this stint, "Ryan's Express" racked up strikeouts 3,000 and 4,000 (and reached the 2,000 mark in each circuit), and led the NL in ERA twice. His final year with the franchise was spent in this incredible cream colored "home" jersey that exhibits exceptional use. "Astros" and the "Lone Star" are sewn to the front in double-layer tackle twill and "Ryan" (on an attached plate) and "34" are stitched on the back. The team's infamous "rainbow" stripes, a motif then in vogue, traverse the shoulders and blue columns run down each side and around the neck. "Rawlings (size) 44", "1 Inch Extra Length", "Set 1 1988" flag tag", and "54 88 44 1" chain-stitched plate are on the lower front hem. A well-rounded treasure, preserving the peerless achievements of a peerless Hall of Famer.
