In his youth he was the sleek second baseman with the Cardinals credited with having "the greatest pair of hands I've ever seen", according to fellow Hall of Famer and teammate Stan Musial. His success extended far beyond his playing days and ten All-Star appearances though, as manager he twice piloted the Redbirds to the World Series. From that period comes this blue "road" pull-over jersey that exhibits the light but evident use picked up while patrolling the dugout. chain-stitched on front is "Cardinal" and their "bat and bird" logo, while on the reverse is "Schoendienst 2" in double-layer tackle twill. Both sleeves are sewn with his number "2" and the front inner tail has "Rawlings [size] 46" manufacturer's tagging and a "Set 1 1979" flag tag.
