This hand-cut dazzler (1965 Lampo # 154) frames the boxing champ and 20th Century icon, Muhammad Ali, when he was Cassius Clay the rookie, and what a rookie card this is - rare, and potentially a much more powerful investment than it already is. This Italian jewel, with its crisp edges and tight corners, has a grade of 4.5 VG-EX+, bestowed by first class grading house, Beckett (BVG), to whom its previous owner had sent this card. Light wrinkle on the back’s top right corner is the only jab scored against this “pugilato” from the “Stati Uniti.”
