This lovely pair of flintlock Belgian pistols likely dates from the early part of the 19th century, and are constructed of steel on wooden stocks, with decorative metal plates and silver inlays. Overall length of the pistols is just over 20", and both bear an ELG proof stamp, mandated by the Belgian government. The action of one pistol is fully functional, and the other will cock but not release. The wood is cracked behind the action on one pistol, and both weapons show cracks in their metal ornaments, with occasional missing material. While we do not recommend that vintage pistols be fired, the pair will display beautifully - perfect for conjuring another time and place, perhaps at dawn... as the fog begins to lift...
