On May 15, 1941, it began. On that day, Joltin' Joe DiMaggio went one-for-four with a run batted in against Eddie Smith and the Chicago White Sox. From that fateful day until July 16, fifty-six games later, DiMaggio hit safely in every game, setting a brand new record that still stands as one of the greatest achievements in baseball history. Offered is the official game program and a ticket stub from the would be 57th game against the Indians, whose third baseman Ken Keltner personally put an end to "The Streak" with two magnificent back handed stops. The program has maintained its brilliant color on the cover where a small number "20" appears in pencil at the upper right corner, and the center pages have been neatly scored, EX. The ticket stub to the July 17, 1941 contest is neatly stapled to the scorecard inside and is EX+ but for the staple. A very rare find from one of the most historic games in baseball, ever.
