In bold black fountain pen ink, “The Splendid One” has inscribed, “To Virginia-with love-Ted Williams” on this incredible photo of Williams in a classic baseball pose. Had it not been for minor breaks in the “T” of “Ted” and the “W” of “Williams” the ink specimen would grade a perfect “10”, but its strong appearance and form still warrant a grade of 8/10. The 7.5”x9.5” photo displays light wear around the corners and edges, EX-MT. Signed in the 1950's. LOA.
