An amazing and vintage collection of 19th Century baseball publications (9), including scorebooks, technique and playing rules manuals, record books, and baseball history, such as “Oliver Optics Magazine - Our Boys and Girls” (1869), “Spalding’s Official Baseball Guide” (1881, 1886), “Constitution and Playing Rules of the National League of Professional Base Ball Clubs” (1888), Chadwick’s Baseball Manual” (1889), “The Ingalls Record Book for 1890,” “The Reliable Book of Outdoor Games” (1893), the “Official Score Card” of the “Yale-Harvard Base-Ball” game on June 25, 1895 at Yale Field, and a “Spalding’s Official Base Ball Score Book” with scores penciled in from a bunch of early 1900’s games between Pastime A.C. and various opponents. Many of the publications are very brittle, and a few have vintage tape holding them together, but overall are a beautiful and historically rich.
