A great-assorted group of Mickey Mantle flats including a large framed 24" x 36" poster advertising Mickey Mantle's Restaurant in New York City. There is a 31" x 21 1/4" framed poster of Mick's plaque out in Monument Park. The last framed piece is a group of small black and white photos featuring a young Mantle in uniform and in street clothes. There is also an original 1950's photo of Joe Di Maggio handsomely dressed in a dark suit. The remaining pieces in the collection are assorted pieces of advertising mostly from the early 1950's, included are ads for Camel Cigarettes, Kodak film, Sports Illustrated, Rawlings Baseball equipment, Haggar Slacks, among others. Also included are a few vintage articles from the Saturday Evening Post and a June 15, 1953 Time Magazine Cover. A great lot sure to bring back several memories to a life long Mantle fan.
