A gloriously restored box seat from Brooklyn’s beloved Ebbets Field, free standing on very nice manicured wood planks, and, having been professionally sanded and repainted, an enormously tempting piece to show - and sit in, being that it is fully functional. Original wood and cast iron still forms its Dodger soul, as it must have witnessed such luminaries as Jackie Robinson, Pee Wee Reese, Roy Campanella, and Gil Hodges, as well as the great exhale after “next year” finally came in a 1955 World Series title. A very nice gold plate is attached to middle slat, a dedication of sorts, verifying the seat’s authenticity and celebrating the ballpark from which it came. # “42” is beautifully stenciled on top slat.
