Milwaukee Brewer shortstop Robin Yount joined a select club when, on September 9th, 1992, while playing against the Cleveland Indians, he smacked a solid single into right field, and the red carpet unrolled itself to first base and his 3,000th hit. This game-used baseball has nice wear with lots of brown and dark staining, and presents, sweet spotted, on its official American League (Brown) skin, Yount’s signature (8/10), “Robin Yount 9-9-92''. LOA from umpire Dave Phillips who obtained this baseball from the game. Phillips kept several balls from the game and had Yount sign them. This is one of them.
