The 1962 NL Rookie of the Year set a major-league record with 78 consecutive errorless games and was the first rookie to win a Gold Glove. Hubbs’ promising career though was cut short when he was killed in February 1964 after a private plane he was piloting crashed in Utah. Offered is his 1959 National Association Of Professional Baseball Leagues contract, one of less than a handful ever to be signed by him. Issued by the Star Exhibition Co. Inc. (Ft. Worth, TX) Triple A ball club and signed three times in blue ballpoint pen. Each of his marks are bold and deserving of the grade of 8.5/10, while the document itself is EX+. PSA/DNA LOA.
