Circa 1950’s ceramic cookie jar in the life-sized form of the head of Chief Wahoo, the Cleveland Indians mascot (and source of recent controversies concerning sports team mascots and racism), from famed pottery company Gibbs-Connor, it grins broadly from the front, while on the back of its head is scripted “Indians” in red. Never before available to the public, it comes from the actual estate of the Gibbs-Connor owner/designer and is considered a proto-type. Grab hold of his red feathered scalp (the jar's cover), and reach into a head full of cookies. RARE!!!!
