Early and vintage 1920’s golf club scale exhibiting an industrial aesthetic with its wood base, steel construction, and copper and lead weights, presenting its pragmatism with an air of elegance. 27” long at the base and 8” tall at the highest point, with working bubble level and smooth slide weight. That its lacquered wood surface has beaded with age, adds just the right amount of textured charm. In working order, its bubble is marked Paul Potter, Baldwin, L.I., and the end weight has the Arco Pat. # on it. It all comes together as a remarkable piece of utilitarian art.
