This very hip poster, measuring 16 ? x 23 ?”, advertises one of the legendary concert tours, "Jazz at the Philharmonic", of revolutionary promoter and producer Norman Granz. In 1960, he assembled quite a grouping of artists: the Miles Davis Sextet, the Oscar Peterson Trio and the Stan Getz Quartet, all playing on March 30, 1960, in Germany. Minimal graphics of Davis’ trumpet, Peterson’s piano and Getz’s saxophone dominate this moody, jade and black poster, with understated, cool lower-cased lettering. Atmospheric and evocative, perfect for framing. EX-MT.
