In what was one of the most memorable games in the Negro League history, Satchel Paige's Pittsburgh Crawfords battled Slim Jones' Philadelphia Stars for the Negro League World Championship of 1934. After nine grueling innings the two teams found themselves at 1-1 stalemate when, to the surprise of the 30,000 in attendance at Yankee Stadium, the game was called on account of darkness. Offered is a rare ticket stub from that evening's event. Dated September 9, 1934, it displays in EX-MT condition with only minor damage on the back from an imperfect tear by the usher over seventy years ago and some glue residue.
