This mysterious Bruce Springsteen (“and his Band of Elves”) Holiday Concert poster has inquiring minds stumped on the actual date of its performance, if the show went off at all, or if it was a hoax. Most likely, its date could very well be December 17, 1971, being that Springsteen did perform at Rutgers University that evening, which is where the venue noted on the poster, The Ledge, is located. If the show was cancelled, it very well could have had a make-up date 4 months later when he did play at The Ledge on April 15, 1972. Either way, this cute, collegiate poster, which has an illustrated Bruce in Santa garb, also presents the show's opening bands, The Looking Glass and The Blue Babies, as well as the event's “guest MC - Rutger’s own Miss Santa Claus". Red on off-white, 8 x 13 ?”, mounted and matted (glued to matte) to 12" x 17 ?”. Some uniform abrading and spottiness, VG-EX overall. Very collectible.
