Waterloo is a small village south of Brussels, quaint and quiet. There is little evidence that the farms and fields were the sight of one of the most famous battles in history. The great General Napoleon can attest to that fact. Presented for you is a collection dedicated to that battle: a) A stunning early 20th Century print titled "The Charge of the Royals At Waterloo" depicts the British Red Coats in full gallop and bringing it to Napoleon. The color is shocking and vivid, you can feel the ground rumble. The vintage frame measures 25 x 35", the print is 18 x 27". The seal of The Parker Gallery, London is on the backing. EX. b). 19th Century book of twelve engravings highlighting tranquil scenes of the Town of Waterloo and punctuated in the back cover with a foldout map of the Battleground. VG. c). A fold-open hardbound book from the Joel Spitz Collection #33 of eight limited edition color engravings depicting the gore of the Battle, Measures 9 x 12". VF. d). We close this group with a two volume book set " The Battle Of Waterloo" by George Jones published by John Booth, London, 1817. 1st Vol., first few pages light foxing, full leather cover, gilded with bindings in good condition. 2nd Vol includes maps and engravings. Overall VG-EX.
