Capitalizing on Jack Johnson's notoriety, two men joined Johnson in opening a restaurant in Harlem. This notarized two page contract is an agreement made in 1923 to buy the restaurant in New York City. It was to be known as "Jack Johnsons" and located at 132nd Street and 7th Avenue. Second page is signed by Jack Johnson and two others (his partners in the project). Sigs are 8/10 in black fountain ink. Contract is VG.
