What a pair! Both are original pencil artworks by the great Orville Clinard, and signed by him. The Ruth is dated 1936, and the Gehrig 1937. Kicker is that both are signed by the legendary figures. "To My Pal Orville Clinard Sincerely Babe Ruth 1936". The signature and inscription are 9/10 in black fountain pen. Gehrig is signed "To Orville With Kindest Regards Lou Gehrig" in 9/10 black fountain pen. The Ruth drawing (10-1/2 x 12") has one horizontal fold in the center, while the Gehrig (11 x 14") has several wrinkles. Both are framed with no expense spared. The framed Ruth is 23-3/4 x 30-1/2", while the Gehrig is 21-3/4 x 29-1/4". They are true museum pieces with plaques detailing their careers, and were framed and matted with that in mind.
